Ford 7.3L Powerstroke
Fuel Filter / Drain Valve Seal Kit
- Fits 1994 - 1997 -
We have recently seen a rash of "Fuel in the engine valley" complaints from Powerstroke owners - many of these leaks are ultimately traced to the fuel filter o-rings. Quite probably, the cause of this, in many cases, is the introduction of ULSD (Ultra Low Sulfur) Diesel Fuel. Fortunately, once the seals are replaced, you should not have the problem again.
In most cases, repairing the leak is as simple as removing the filter assembly from the engine and replacing the drain valve o-rings, but as long as you have it off, you should replace the other o-rings as well. This 7.3 Powerstroke fuel filter drain valve seal kit includes the drain valve o-rings, 5 pressure regulator valve assembly o-rings, one heater element connector o-ring, one water sensor o-ring, and the pressure regulator screen o-ring.
This kit fits 1994 - 1997 7.3L Powerstroke. If you have a later truck, please see the related items below for the appropriate kit.
