These diesel vacuum pumps are not rebuilt or aftermarket reproductions. They are brand new from the Original Equipment Manufacturer.

For those that do not know, the original equipment manufacturer for the 6.2L / 6.5L vacuum pumps ceased  production during COVID. Since that time the only options have been Asian aftermarket pumps which have an absolutely abysmal track record.

We recently located a small stash of NOS (New Old Stock) OEM pumps which we were very excited to acquire.  We only have a few and when they are gone, they are gone, most likely these are the last OEM pumps we will ever see.

Since these vacuum pump is belt driven, bearing failure of the pump (VERY common with the cheap offshore aftermarket alternatives) commonly results in the belt being thrown off and the vehicle being stranded.

Even if your existing pump is still functioning it might be wise to acquire one of these OEM pumps and mothball it if you plan on keeping your truck on the road for years to come. 

This GM 6.5 vacuum pump fits the following applications:

-GM 6.5 L diesel trucks (including H1 Hummer) from 1996 to 2004.

-GM 6.5L Vans 1996 and newer

-Duramax 2001 - 2004 (California Models)

Part number 6549 replaces OE 12556549 and 89017558 as well as AC Delco 215-479.
