The 6.4L Ford Powerstroke has (3) Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensors located in the exhaust system under the truck in order to monitor the functioning of the Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) and the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). This Ford 6.4 EGT sensor is the correct replacement for ANY EGT Temp sender located UNDER the truck which includes the following three sensors:
- Pre-Cat (Inlet)
- Post-Cat / Pre-DPF
- Post DPF (Outlet)
This sensor will NOT replace any EGTS sensor / probe located in the engine compartment.
