The 6.0L Powerstroke engine utilizes a unique HUEI Fuel injection system in which the force to actually cause the injection of the fuel into the cylinder is generated by a second high pressure oil pump. The high pressure oil pump is capable of generating as much as 4,000 PSI. We offer both the early 2003/ early 2004 round aluminum HPOP as well as the later cast iron pump. If your engine is not starting and ICP pressure is below 520 PSI, the high pressure oil pump and IPR valve are both possible causes.
