Time to replace the engine in your 6.2L or 6.5L GM? These engines come off the same production line in Indiana, USA that builds the engines for the US Military Humvee program and are the best 6.5L engines ever produced. The heads and blocks are cast in the USA and updated with modern metallurgy and additional reinforcement in failure prone areas to prevent the cracking problems that the 6.2 / 6.5's are famous for. Additionally the crankshafts are now forged to eliminate the crank breakage problem that has long plagued this engine platform.
We have witnessed way too many customers over the years spend thousands of dollars on machine work and engine parts to rebuild their engine only to experience a broken crank or cracked block a few thousand miles later. Updating to a modernized Optimizer 6500 from GEP is usually the best way to go and will pay dividends in peace of mind since there will be no worries about a crank breaking or block cracking at any moment.

These 6.5L engines will replace any 6.2L engine with minimal changes. (All GEP engines require metric thread fasteners in all locations. GM engines before 1999.5 used standard fasteners in a few positions, so it may be necessary a acquire a few metric fasteners when replacing an early engine.)
Both side mount turbo engines (pickup application) and center mount turbo engines (vans and Humvees are available).
We keep these engines in stock for immediate shipment, no waiting for production as with many other dealers. You are also welcome to come visit us and pick up your engine in person. Please call ahead to make arrangements. We get great freight rates and will contact multiple carriers to get you the best rate if you opt to have your engine delivered. If you are able to have your engine shipped to a business with a forklift or loading dock, there will be a substantial savings.
Since these engines are built with military use intent (Humvee program), AMG /GEP does not
offer any express or implied warranty on engines sold to the civilian community. This is
hardly a concern since these engines are built to the strictest military
standards and specifications. We have yet so see or hear of a
legitimate failure on a new GEP engine. These engines are battle tested
and proven by the USA military and by the defense departments of many of
our allies around the world.
Unfortunately, we are not able to accept credit card payments for engines. Payment can be via wire-transfer, check, or cash if picking up in person. Shipments will be delayed for bank clearance on payments made via check.
Since these engines are 100% new with NO used or remanufactured parts, there is NO core charge and no hassles with shipping back an engine core! (Consider this when comparing to the cost of a reman engine. Core charges and the cost of core return shipment can be high and many 6.5L engine cores will not be accepted by the rebuilder due to cracking resulting in the loss of the core deposit.)
